About Dr Rakila Lakicevic

Dr Rakila Lakicevic grew up in sunny Brisbane and has built her career as a compassionate general dentist committed to patient-centred care. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at Griffith University, she went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) from the University of Queensland in 2017.

Most of Dr Rakila’s professional experience has been in Indigenous community health clinics, providing valuable insights into treating patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Dr Rakila prides herself on creating a safe and calm space where patients feel heard, respected, and at ease during their dental visits. With a strong focus on preventative and paediatric dentistry, Dr Rakila is passionate about educating patients on the importance of prevention to achieve long-term oral health outcomes.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Rakila is a devoted mother of three. During her time off, she enjoys sharing good food, music, and laughter with loved ones or exploring nature with her family. DIY projects with her husband are another favourite way to take on new challenges and learn new skills.
