About Dr Abhishek (Abhi) Gupta
Dr Abhi Gupta is a registered General Dentist in Australia with advanced training in Prosthodontics obtained in India. This specialised training has provided him with a strong foundation in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, with particular interests in dental implants, full-mouth rehabilitation and smile design using laminates and veneers. His approach is meticulous, structured and focused on achieving predictable, long-term outcomes.
Dr Abhi has extensive experience managing complex restorative cases, including worn, broken and heavily restored dentitions. He is passionate about comprehensive treatment planning and rebuilding smiles to restore both function and confidence.
Prior to relocating to Australia, he established and successfully operated a private dental practice for many years, delivering multidisciplinary care. He also lectured and conducted advanced training programs in Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry, sharing his clinical expertise with fellow practitioners.
Now practising across the Illawarra region, Dr Abhi provides comprehensive general dentistry with an emphasis on precision, patient comfort and clear communication to ensure patients feel informed and confident in their care.
Outside of dentistry, family and community are central to his life. He moved to Wollongong three years ago with his wife, a General Practitioner, and their son. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring Australia’s coastlines, playing golf and tennis, and cheering on his son at soccer matches.

What Dr Abhi loves about dentistry?
Restoring comfort, stability and confidence is the most rewarding part of dentistry for Dr Abhi. Rebuilding smiles through implants, crowns and bridges, or complex restorative care allows patients to eat, speak and smile comfortably again.
Developing long-term relationships built on trust and providing gentle, patient-centred care is what makes being a dentist truly fulfilling.
" Prevention is always easier, less invasive and more affordable than treatment. Small daily habits make a lifetime of difference. "
