About Dr Ioan Lloyd
Combining hands-on dentistry with clinical problem-solving is an important part of patient care for Dr Ioan Lloyd, with building trust and helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and involved forming the foundation of his approach.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Cardiff University in 2023, Dr Ioan has developed experience across general dentistry while building a particular interest in restorative and digital dentistry. Taking the time to understand individual concerns and explain treatment clearly allows him to create a more comfortable dental experience and develop genuine relationships with patients.
A strong interest in restorative and prosthodontic dentistry, including crowns, onlays, bridges, and dentures, reflects Dr Ioan’s focus on restoring the health, function, and appearance of a patient’s smile. Supporting this, an interest in digital dentistry allows him to continue exploring contemporary approaches to treatment and further develop his clinical skills.
Oral surgery is another area Dr Ioan particularly enjoys, with continued learning and professional development supporting his interest in progressing towards more complex procedures. Seeing the difference treatment can make to a patient’s comfort, confidence, and quality of life remains one of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry for him.
Outside of dentistry, travelling and experiencing new places are among Dr Ioan’s favourite ways to spend his time, alongside meeting new people and keeping active through regular gym sessions and golf. A passionate football fan, weekends may also involve following Liverpool FC.

What Dr Ioan loves about dentistry?
Dentistry provides the opportunity to combine hands-on treatment and clinical problem-solving with building genuine relationships, helping patients feel comfortable and involved in their care while making a positive difference to their confidence and quality of life.
" Don’t wait until something hurts. Regular dental check-ups can help identify problems early, when they are often easier and more straightforward to treat. If you feel nervous about visiting the dentist, let the dental team know. Feeling comfortable and listened to should always be part of the experience. "
