About Megan Wyntjes

Beginning her career in dentistry as a dental nurse in 2008 has given Megan Wyntjes a strong understanding of the patient experience and a practical foundation that continues to shape her approach to oral health care.

After 12 years working as a qualified dental nurse, Megan progressed her clinical career by completing a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2022, qualifying as an Oral Health Therapist. Building on this experience, Megan completed a Master of Clinical Medicine in 2025, further developing her knowledge of clinical leadership, healthcare management and evidence-based practice.

With more than 15 years of experience across dental settings including general dentistry, public health and orthodontics, Megan brings a calm, friendly and supportive approach to patient care. Creating an environment where patients feel comfortable, listened to and well cared for is an important part of how Megan builds genuine relationships throughout treatment.

A particular interest in orthodontics allows Megan to combine clinical care with one of the aspects of dentistry she values most: building long-term relationships with patients. Working with children and teenagers is especially rewarding, with Megan enjoying the opportunity to support younger patients throughout their orthodontic journey and see their confidence develop alongside their smile.

Outside of dentistry, much of Megan’s spare time is dedicated to dog rescue through her volunteer work as a foster carer with Starting Over Dog Rescue. Helping dogs through rehabilitation and prepare for their forever homes is an important part of her life, alongside spending time with her husband, family and dogs.

What Megan loves about dentistry?

Oral health care provides Megan with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a person’s health, confidence and overall wellbeing. Building long-term relationships with patients is particularly rewarding, especially when supporting children and teenagers throughout their orthodontic journey and seeing their confidence grow over time.

" Consistency is key. Look after your teeth every day, not just the day before your dental appointment. Small habits, done consistently, make the biggest difference to your oral health and your smile. "
