Routine Check-Ups

Routine dental check-ups, is more important than you can imagine. In addition to brushing well and flossing regularly at home, a dental appointment every six months is what every dentist recommends.

Because by doing so you can identify problems early and hopefully prevent the need for more serious dental procedures in the future. It’s also important for the maintenance of good oral hygiene.

So what’s involved in a routine check-up?

Here’s a brief outline of what you can expect when you come into Primary Dental for a check-up:

  1. Your friendly and highly qualified dentist will do a thorough examination of your teeth and gums to see if they can identify any issues.
  2. If no serious issues are detected your dentist will then provide a professional clean and apply a fluoride application to your teeth. After this is done, your check-up is over!
  3. If a problem is initially detected your dentists may seek further information by performing an x-ray.
  4. If further treatment is required, your dentist will then talk to you about your options and offer their professional opinion.

At Primary Dental we firmly believe that everyone, from kids as young as two, should have their teeth checked routinely as stated above. We provide state-of-the-art equipment and best practice hygiene to ensure you get the best service and results possible.
